TIL why starters feel so strong in playthroughs, despite many being lower-tier competitively.

They are in the "medium-slow" experience group, which actually grow faster than the "medium-fast" group until 68, which is pretty much post-game anyway. The only thing that grows faster prior to 68 is the "fast" group which is filled mostly with normal and fairy types with poor stats, although they usually have decent movepools.

I never hated Charizard. I found it 'meh' that he was being pushed so hard due to Generation 6, but that's just business. He's still a very nice Pokemon in my eyes, but there are some I prefer much more.

First pokemon and will forever be my ultimate favorite

sometimes I feel typical or targeted as Charizard was designed to be adored by the 6-12 y.o. male child, so I get into other mons, like Feraligatr, or Gyarados(det lore), but at the end of the day, I'm just trying to cover up my true feelings for Charizard, I just wish he was more useful, or that I had multiple DSes so I could start each game with a Charmander.

Lost my X version with a Mega Charizard X which, albeit edgy as shit, is still the sickest thing to me, the only way they could make Charizard better now would be to simply turn him into a robot.

Not even kidding, and I don't care how cheesy that sounds. I black and blue giant robot Charizard shooting propane flames. Shut up and take my money.

Hell yeah I do. I love Charizard, I love both of it's Mega's, and I love how booty blasted people get over it too.

It's powerful in both formats, VGC and Smogon. It's one of the original pokemon, yet kids and adults alike today still love it, new or old to the series. It has a huge presence in all other media, and apparently is also the king of BTFO. Not even sneaky pebbles maymays brings it down.

Best part of it all is really all people can whine about it is it's over exposure and muh pandering.
