and finally, since I've pretty much told everything, I'll mention this.

TPC REALLY wants people to get into competitive battling, what with Hyper Training and of course pushing people for the battle competitions by giving rewards right now. However, they're going to be really pushing some new ways of battling like the FFA stuff you've seen. There will be a new online mode that lets you use your whole team through match making and you can also filter certain things, essentially, anything goes, but you can also filter legendaries like Groudon but not Zapdos off. There's also gonna be less restrictions on online battles too. You'll be able to use the same item on two Pokémon on ranked and regular matchups. Also, the moves and abilities you've seen that involve mostly double battle stuff will be changed with HA. I think that Alola Raichu does get the Electivire ability I mentioned before. Another example: Healer will work in single battles, and happens every three turns.

There will be more later. If you can't tell, the game is still in development, and since I'm battle testing I don't know if there are even going to be new Alola forms or what new Pokémon there will be. There have been red herrings, because if I remember, Wishiwashi was tested with a Huntail that had obviously changed stats and Run Away to mimic that Wishiwashi with its school form doesn't have a technical ability. Testing Huntail as Wishiwashi happened a few months before we even knew Salandit.
