This is so weird, how can you not see that you have a blessing if your area spawns Growlithe commonly? It makes some sense to see plants and weeds like Bellsprout and Oddish as the commons with the Growlithe/Vulpix/Ponyta being the rares. If they go after you, they won't use that as a basis, because it's clear they don't manually check for bans and auto-ban based on a criteria, so they might use things such as device info, altitude or some other GPS-related thing to detect emulators.

Where you spoofed won't matter much in that case, but to get at least some basic protection, set emulator's device name, model, IMEI and screen resolution to those of the phone you use when walking.

Anybody been having server/connection issues today? I normally have to restart the app regularly anyway, but today especially it's been shitty. I tried taking over a gym, beat it twice then couldn't beat it again because it came up with some error. Then went to take another gym but it froze and did that spinning ball thing when I tried to enter the gym, had to restart the app. Took over a different gym, and it took me over a minute to cash out. Then got home, saw an abra on the radar, tried to find it but nothing was working I couldn't even hit pokestops. I shut down my phone, restarted everything, now it works but still seems laggy.

1. Usually just scoops up your highest CP mons. The first one is a decent type counter to the leading Pokemon, but beyond that you shouldn't put too much faith into it.

Yes, that's true. But that's what I'm worried about-- making it a Kingdra would give it STAB but also make it take super effective damage. It may be more effective as-is than evolving it later down the line. As far as I know, STAB is 25% in this game and super effective damage is also around a 1.25x multiplier. 1) It seems to put Pokemon in order of type effectiveness and strength. Typically mine puts the first Pokemon as the one that would be super-effective against the first gym Pokemon, and the remaining 5 are super effective against the last gym Pokemon. The middle ones are always ignored.

2) I was able to claim enough gyms to hold up to 450 items, but I still do not carry more than 40 revives. If you do not do many gym battles, I would carry only 20. You get tons of revives from every level up and their common to pick up anyway. I keep as many hyper potions as I can, I've never gone past 90 though as I gym battle a lot. If you rarely battle, 90 is way too much. As for Pokeballs, I would keep no more than 100 Pokeballs, the rest should be as many ultra and great balls as you can carry. Because even low level Pokemon have realistically high breakout rates, you always wanna keep at least 50 Pokeballs on hand. After 100, I'd toss any excess.

Ie. a growlithe spawned near my house. I was excited because there's a nest nearby so I had enough candy to evolve it, and since it was a nest all of the growlithes had shit IV's-

My girlfriend, my sister and I all were seperate levels, 20, 23 and 24- the CP's of the growlithes caught were 749, 750 and something in the mid 800's- but all three had 91.1% IV's.

we have a shitload of Nidoran, and a lot of venonats, oddish, paras and gastly. Oddly enough, a decent amount of charmanders too, but literally no other fire types.

Also eevees are insanely common, most of the gyms are held by 2k+ eeveelutions because everyone has them. The only stuff I see more often than eevee is the general pidgey/spearow/weedle/rat etc..

Consider the common scenario of a friendly Level 3 gym full of pokes, someone left a 1000-CP Arcanine or Flareon at the bottom.

Leave your vape as-is, and stomp all over the firepoke and get 500-1000 prestige for the gym. Do that once or twice and for a minimum of healing potions you get your 10 coins. Every time.

Spend a small fortune evolving a good vape every level-up you get - and you get one 'mon who's fantastic, but not that much more fantastic than the one you evolved from that 700CP Eevee you caught between level 25 and level 26.

My first vape was like yours. I picked an Eevee with good IVs, used the one-time name trick, and got lucky on movesets. Haven't spent more than 1600 dust on Rainer and that was just to better lock down the possibilities for his IVs. That little squirt has made me so much coins for so few potions. He's half the strength of my strongest vapes, but he's my bro.

If you were level 24 when you caught it, you already have those stats, they don't tell you anything, so power it up and see if you can't narrow it down a bit.
If you were level 23 when you caught it, the second one MUST be one of the 89%/91%/93%

tl;dr: IV calculators + even levels = meh. IV calculators + odd levels = there's no way you caught an L24 poke at L23 which means you caught a *good* L23 poke.

Poke X spawns with IVs a/b/c.

Player of level 10 sees it as a (random level 1-10) and generally sees something like a CP150 Xmon
Player of level 20 sees it as a (random level 1-20) and generally sees something like a CP300 Xmon.

A second player of the same level sees the same mon and the same CP. If you're level 19, and see a CP280 Xmon, and your friend is also L19, he will see the same mon at CP280. Because it has the same IVs. (And I'll bet the same moveset.)

Almost the same here. I tend to get more Water Pokemon since I live near a creek, farmed the hell out of Psyducks (wished it was Squirtles instead).

Although I also live near a park where there are lots of Bulbasaurs. Got lucky with a somewhat decent Charmander with 345cp from an egg. Never found a Pikachu.

Make sure u update it or install the latest [spoiler version https://github.com/Phaetec/pogo-cruncher/releases[/spoiler]. You can mass evolve over 60 during 30 minutes while using a lucky egg.

Is it worth leveling up Chansey, or are they trash? They have low CP but very high HP, so I figured they might be useful for holding gyms, but I never tried.

Also, has anyone tried putting Grimer in gyms? Opening Grimer's page crashes the app on a lot of phones, after all, might make your gym invincible.

The grind at level 20+ is hard enough as it is, add in the fact that the catch rate goes down at level 20 and it's even harder. Might as well save all the easy to catch shitmons for when you hit level 20.
