Garchomp is better than M-Garchomp for the most part, since it has higher speed, Rough Skin, and access to items.
M-Alakazam loses Magic Guard for Trace, and is weaker than a Life Orb Alakazam.
Lots of guys like the Mega Lati@s and Tyranitar aren't necessarily bad, just superfluous, and don't really do their job better than their base form, since their buffed stats don't make up for loss of an item.

No it doesn't you fucking scrub. In the competitive aspect alone it makes battles move interesting by giving teams an ace they can center a strategy on. If anything it makes competitive better.

And from a non-competitive standpoint, megas are also great because it gives GF the chance to improve old pokemon without completely neglecting the people who might not like the new form. People who don't like mega scizor can still use scizor, but people who like scyther and not scizor cant do the same to the same extent.

Most megas aren't fug mega mom or lucario, people need to stop generalizing and isntead see how stuff like mega mawile and mega charizard have made pokemon that were irredemable dogshit much better.
