Ok, say this whole "evolution" based on islands thing changes. What then?
Will it be added to Sinnoh?

>Sinnoh variants had to adapt to the cold
>Sinnoh variants exclusive to the Survival, Resort, and Fight areas
I'm excited

What types?
Wouldn't it just be a slight alteration of the locale evolutions Sinnoh has already?

...where though?

im going to fuck it

East, West, North, and either Coronet or that island to the northeast. East and West because Coronet splits them, north cause cold, coronet because its such a massive area it would require its own adaptations, and that one island because its offshore

What would we get out of this?

For the whole new game I'd prefer that Sinnoh Forms be of Pokemon not originally used in the main story path - preferably from Johto.

More fire types specifically.

Being able to evolve the Alola starters to each of their evolutions (assuming that feature is in the game). Kinda like what they did for Magnezone and Probopass where they added places in later games to evolve them.

That makes sense. But say we leveled up a Monferno on the Snowpoint side if this evolution thing based on island thing happened.

Sinnoh and Hoehn are too close to the mainland for meaningful change to develop. Pokemon best suited for each area can simply migrate.
Kanto is a very toxic and industrial society, so you only find Pokemon that can thrive there, but you head across the mountains and you find Kanto pokemon and now Johto ones, assuming Johto ones couldn't survive Kanto's enviroment.
The same can be said for Sinnoh. If a pokemon can't make it in Sinnoh, it would migrate to one of the other regions.
With Aloha it's either adapt or you're extinct.
