I'd say no. Getting an Alola form is great, but that doesn't help the original Raichu in any way. It needs some serious buffs before I could say Gamefreak was truly giving it any respect.

I mean, they didn't even bother to give it a mega last gen, which could've helped a bit with its stat problems. It probably won't ever get one now.

The mascot's evolution should not be outclassed by pretty much all the other Electric types. It's pathetic.

In VGC it is. Great Fake Out + Encore + Feint + Lightningrod supporter. This year, it can also OHKO most Primal Kyogre with Volt Tackle.
It sucks in any other format.

This, I'm really disappointed it didn't get a Mega. Would definitely prefer a Mega over an Alola form for it as it could really use the stat boost.

Gen 2 fixed the bug with Ghost types, introduced the Steel type and drove the nail in the coffin with Dark type
Gen 3 gave Fighting types access to a bunch of anti-psychic coverage moves
Gen 4 enforced the Dragons-are-king status quo
Gen 5 actually made Bug types a threat
Gen 6 buffed Dark and Ghost types, nerfed the only type Psychic was useful against and introduced Fairy to do everything Psychic does but better.

How will Gen 7 make Psychic types even worse? Any guesses?

It's actually dollops of whipped cream from the supposed pancakes. In fact, the more you look at it, Alolan Raichu really does look a lot like a pancake. The darker color, the whipped cream hands and feet, the butter ears, the fact that its cheeks produce a sweet smell, everything. I guess the people of alola aren't as odd as I thought. But it still makes me upset that they still don't have a real reason for its change.

Not really. Pikachu has a really shitty speed tier and is incredibly frail. Raichu can at least revenge kill some stuff. Raichu is considered pretty good in PU while Pikachu is literally shit-tier
