Sun and Moon effectively ARE the "third versions" for XY. There is no fucking Z version and they never planned on making a Z version. It's obvious Zygarde's story will be established and concluded in SM. Going back to Kalos so soon when they would have to redo the entire thing anyway just to fit SM's graphical style makes no sense. The whole point of games like Platinum/Emerald/BW2 was for a quick buck since the region is mostly already done.
