So, if Wishiwashi doesn't technically have an evolution to evolve into bigger wishiwashi, and its just an ability that has many small wishiwashi gather to for him, then does that basically retcon dugtrio, magneton, and others where it's basically just multiple pokemon that are "connected"/travel together

No. Those Pokemon permanently form together to become one entity.

No, it doesn't. Magneton are magnetically sealed together, while Dugtrio remain in a "bonded trio" for life.
The key difference is that Wishiwashi never form that permanent bond. Individually they will always remain weak, and must rely on one another in order to face off against stronger opponents.

yeah what you guys said is basically what i was thinking too
/thread then i guess unless you guys turn it into something else. or argue about each other being wrong or right. that could be fun.
