Didn't look through all of them, because I already know the Origins version is my answer.

Firered/leafgreen of course, it's the most epic sounding of them all and has a chaotic feel to it. Also has a sick guitar.
Would I have better luck at getting answers making a strawpoll for this?
You know, the Ashnime beginning is the best, then the rest suffers by being criminally short. It feels dramatic, perfectly on point.
Then origins and BW1/2 tie on the rest. I usually don't like electronic beats added "just because", but somehow it adds nicely on BW's rendition.
The absolute worst of course is that fucking retarded "hey let's dump all sounds in the game at the same time made by the worst sound chip in a video game" Gen 3.
I like the original
However the Origins version surprisingly does the best job of updating it to modern standards, I love it.
Worst one is definitely a the ORAS version mess, 2nd worst is FRLG with the unnecessary trumpets. Gen 3 is trumpets not Gen 1, ty.
X and Y's version resonates with me most so it easily trumps the competition, but the Origins and RB versions are also good.
