It's possible, but I actually doubt it. The only redeemable trait they have for being Pirates is the skull theme they got going on. Literally every other clip shown points to them being gansters, or a group of hoodlums

Or maybe because the pirate component serves as more of a catalyst to set street gangsters on tropical islands, and gives them the means to travel from island to island and have a pirate ship as a base, etc.

I could see that, there is 100% no reason for team skull to not have their own boat to travel across the region, wether or not it's pirate influenced is the question, but only time will tell!

Lmao I feel like they are going to be the team that you just smile at when you beat them, they kind of remind me of Team Rocket in a way, they praised how Team Rocket was top shit and then they flat out ran away whenever you'd beat them, these guys are gonna flash 20 gang Signs before you Battle them, and then go, "Oh shit we've been beat!" "Oh shit you right bro!" "Shit bro we gotta fuck outta here!" "Let's go tell the boss!"

Boss looks kinda goofy too and almost like a cartoon villain, I hope he has a lot of personality. I dont like the girl leaders design but yeah everything else (grunts, music, their logo) is awesome
