why doesn't gamefreak ever give you a legitimate way to obtain all pokemon if you skipped a gen
literally all the events where just for, well event pokemon
but 'regular' legendaries from older games? fuck you
you're basically just encouraging people to hack, it's literally the only way

If I could change anything about Pokemon it would be to make any multiplayer/online/event horseshit entirely optional for completion. It should be possible to complete your Pokedex in any game 20 years after it came out, in the middle of the woods where there's no internet access.
