Magearna is my favorite gen 7 pokemon. And that anime vid made me love it even more. Its such an adorable, very caring, and badass killing machine.

Several reasons:

First, because her design is a lot less human than other Waifumons. Gardevoir's obviously a woman with weird hair, Liligant's a cartoon girl wearing a dress. Mawile is... Mawile. Etc etc. But Magearna looks more like a doll or a toy than a person. And that puts a lot of waifuists off.

Second, she's not expressive. She's got limited articulation and, canonically, can't move her face. That's bad news for fan artists, because it's VERY restrictive on what you can do without animation. And Pokémon interest revolves around fan art.

Third, her movie isn't out in Englishland yet.

Well its a robot I dont think you can really make a robot very feminine without making it look weird.

Maegarna is okay. I think it's the only good legendary of gen 7 by now.

Nah, people would easily acknowledge it as a mechanical waifu and would still wish to fuck it. If XJ9 gets loads of porn it wouldn't stop this design as well. I blame it's canonical lack of showing expressions. If it actually had a mouth, the design would be more well-received and fanart that show it with a mouth wouldn't be viewed as an inaccurate portrayal of the pokemon.
