Considering how BW's two rivals almost made me kill myself and how their return in BW2 along with the shitty new one caused those feelings to resurface, should I even bother with gen VI? The overly linear structure of gen V along with those fucking gym leaders getting more important roles than they should were just a few more of the things I hated about it.
Honestly most of the dex looks pretty promising to me, especially Malamar.

Gen 6 isn't overbearing like gen 5 was in terms of gym leader involvement and the rivals showing up, so you'll be fine.
