Correct. It's a mixture of the stripes naturally found on Orchid mantids like >>27670335 show's, reformed to resemble a kimono. The wings forming a bow on it's back, the way it holds it's arms (the scythes cover its face partially and appear draped), and it's likely cherry blossom themed design all point to this.

I thought it was pretty obvious at first, I'm surprised so many people still dont realize its based off of a kimono. Possibly a kabuki dancer, ever.
