I'll take this chance to remind vp the actual pokemon isn't the sandcastle it's the sand as indicated by the picture where it kills a pikachu. The reason it looks like a sandcastle is because it feels the form would help it kill more prey and camoflage.

And why did they choose to include the sexual dimorphism of real life bagworms in THAT one? Why not the first? And why did THAT bagworm line turn out less viable than the first?
