Was the new Sandcastle Ghost the reason why Sandshrew and Sandslash had to migrate to colder climates in Alola?
Cubone too?
Seems plausible.
I'm more curious as to what's hunting Cubones as to pressure them to turn into Fire/Ghost Marowaks.

Lurantis.

>a fucking reptilian/dinosaurish creature is scared of a bug/flower thing
yeah no
>>27652448
Lurantis is grass type, and is predatorial. Marowak is ground and is a manlet. Lurantis has a clear advantage.

marowak lives in caves anyway.

Beach caves?
>>27652848
Not in every game. Cubone are found out in the open fields in certain games, so it would make them an easy target for Lurantis.

>bug/flower thing
It's a mantis you dumbass. A mantis designed to look unintimidating so you get too close. The real world version does the same thing. It eats animals roughly it's own size and has type advantage over ground Marowak. Why wouldn't it eat them? You know if an orchid mantis could get its scythes on a lizard close enough to its size that it would totally eat it. Also, way to run from the other thread you were getting schooled in

>m-muh badass lizard can't lose to a girly flower!
Study nature and what animals eat what, and then kys.

Chilly Sandslash/Ninetails.

Marowak is taller than Lurantis.

>Spooky sand castle causes mass migration of Sandshrew species
>Marowaks, being the superior ground type, assrape the sandshrews and force them to keep moving up the mountain, to the colder climates
Sandshrew species digivolves to Ice/Steel type as they go higher and higher up the mountains
>Marowaks start getting assraped back, digivolve into ghost/fire to burn the sandshrew species and to use ghost moves against the spooky sand castles below them.

>Sandshrew have historically lived in desert areas. But the frequent eruptions of nearby volcanoes drove the Sandshrew to abandon the desert and migrate to snowy mountains, where they took on this form.
>>27652137
Nah, the website says that Sandshrew and Sandslash were driven out of the desert because of the frequent eruptions of nearby volcano

Grass/ice types
