ghost typing has become a pretty undefined thing, back in gen 1 it was about being "intangible" as the Ghastly line was made of gas (and not spirit stuff)

then came Misdreavus, which was just based on a kind of actual ghost, killing the gaseous archetype and giving way to having ghost pokemon be just "creepy or scary stuff"
