And the list goes on. There's loads of stuff that's fucked up with the original 151 Pokemon (and their evo families). Most of them are caused by the introduction of features like breeding that didn't exist in gen 1, and by gens 3/4 it all just stuck for good, apparently. I really wish Game Freak would try a little harder to explain/fix stuff like this and maybe put a little more forethought into Dex entries in the future, but obviously that'll never happen. A shame, really.
