How feasible/possible is it to actually 'catch em all'?
I was thinking I'd try it for once
But I mean is it actually an obtainable goal through legit means, or are some pokemon completely locked away in events and shit?
If it is possible, what are the optimal games to allow me to do this
Thanks friends

It's actually against the rules to post on /vp/ unless you've caught them all, friend :^)
Regardless, if you play the game as it's meant to be played - your role is to complete the pokedex by catching them all (which requires socialising and trading in real life, of course) and you're meant to use them all and rotate your team for every new challenge - then it's easy and you just sort of automatically complete the regional Pokedex. Afterwards it depends what's available to you, but it's very achievable. I'm not one of the "only plays Pokemon and does so 24/7" guys that make up the loudest part of this board, but I manage it just fine. It's easier again now with the Pokemon bank thing and the GTS.

Hmmm, but my question is how do I get pokemon like Genesect etc. legit for example
It kinda ruins it for me a bit

Event pokemon do not count towards dex completion.
And you can catch all of them with just XYORAS

So do you spend hours between each gym grinding up new wild pokemon?

Really? fug I dudn't know that

If you're aim is to catch them all on one cart, you've got a difficult task ahead of you.
>Genesect
There was a 6th Gen event for it a while back. It was the Legacy one I believe. Anyway, if you missed that you'll have to trade for it.

Yeah. For completionist's sake you can, especially with the annivsary events, but to get credit for a complete dex you dont need event mons.
