Why don't you try offering something, instead of searching? The GTS works quite well if you offer something for a reasonable trade.

Been doing the living dex myself the past few weeks anon, yeah the requests on gts are retarded.. You just have to get your hands on something relatively hard to get and breed the shit out of it, then you should get most things you ask for.

In my case I bred a shit ton of mime Jr, get everything I ask for within a couple hours, the only thing you can't really get are some of those odd evolve mons unless you offer one up yourself

Good luck though, I'm up to 691 feels all worth it now I'm coming towards the end

There's a reason that's all you see. Because no one takes them up on those trades so they just stay there. If you offer a Pokémon up for a fair trade it gets traded pretty easily. Honestly, the only 2 improvements that need to be made are the ability to trade event Pokémon and that trades put up for a certain amount of time should expire.
