so i just bought a new 3ds xl, my first nintendo handheld since my gameboy classic. i have only played pokemon red like 15 years ago so far and i saw that you can play each gen in some version on the 3ds.
Obviously now i want to play heartgold or soulsilver, but WTF they are going for 200 € new and 70 € used? why are these games costingmore than 10 € they are 6 years old ?
and how do they look like on the 3DS, is the upscaler good?
any plans that they come to nintendo eshop like pokemon red/blue/ yellow?

Buy it used, it's worth it.
Greatest game in history, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I can't even find one at my local store
Check Craigslist or eBay for a used copy. Those games are so damn hard to find even then. Expect someone to ask for around $60 even for a used copy.

>Greatest game in history,
this bait is getting really out of hand
fuck the retards paying these ridiculous prices. they're the real problem

Which gen do you recommend?
If you liked HGSS, go to Platinum
so given that these games are pretty much unobtainable and expensive as fuck, should i play crystal, gold or silver on the gameboy emulator on my psp?
not gonna hack my 3ds

If that's so, Platinum is good too just as anon said before >>27552638Why aren't you hacking your 3ds btw? I would murder an ant to make mine downgrade from 11.0
Had the same problem as you OP, I managed to get a Japanese version of HG for 53 € but everything else was at least 90 €.
