- I never use revives or potion or berries in battle

-I always level my team during the whole game in order (you level up? go at the back, next one to lvl up is up front) doesn't matter against whom. keep the party at same level. only change when i really can't win without revives or potions. then when i reach elite four i must aim to OHKO every elite four mon with the correct one on my party (i mantain balanced types) even if i end up almost not using one or two of my team during the whole elite four.

- When battling my rival it's ALWAYS starter vs starter

- Always nickname every pokemon captured and tried to capture every mon in a route before moving on (flexible rule, i get bored or something i move on but this never ever happens)


All of this aren't rules or something i could break them sometime but that's how i play 95% of the time and enjoy it more this way.
The only rule is that EVERY pokemon from the party MUST be, with no exception, a NEW pokemon from THAT generation. This is also the only one that rustle my jimmies every time i see someone not doing that. I really dislike teams with "older" pokemons, even if it's a revenant in sun or moon to set a recent example.

While playing though a pokemon game for the first time I write down everything that happens like catches or evolutions etc. After I finish the game I trade my team up to the next game so for example I have my Y team with my alpha sapphire team. I refuse to use two Pokemon with the same primary color on the same team.

I have to keep pokemon at the same level and rotate them. So all 10, then one gets 11 then goes to the back then next to 11 and so on.

Gen VI fucking ruined this with the EXP scaling it has and the EXP share is trash so that even if I wanted to use it, it would ruin the levels of everything to keep them similar without overleveling.

This. I tried to get a female Eevee in XY (to evolve into Umbreon) on that route outside the ocean town but i wasted an hour looking for one despite having a 50/50 male/female chance
I still just caught a regular male one
And I kept breeding Pancham after hatching a perfect female one because I needed a male one.

Whenever I catch my first Pokemon that goes in the PC (usually the region's rodent or bug) I immediately catch another Pokemon so it isn't alone in the PC.

Whenever I'm breeding, I designate certain Boxes as Auschwitz Boxes, they're where the suboptimal Pokemon go. I let them fill up and then I have a Culling where I release them, but I pretend that "Release" means "Release from their mortal coil in the gas chambers, Heil Trainer"

I think this is fitting because Pokemon is basically Eugenics Trainer 2016

Oh, I never use potions in battle unless it's against an evil team member. I do this because friendly battles against trainers don't matter and it's just for fun, but against Team members it's self defense.

I would always pretend to be some kid who thinks all the crazy shit going on throughout the game is just a prank and he is really on a reality tv show. Right here. It's not a compulsive need, but I absolutely love that GF allows most 'mons to have both genders available, regardless of archetypes. It feels like a waste not to enjoy the variety present.

You know, it was almost baffling how many anons were bemoaning Popmaid for its feminine design. After reading through this thread, I now know why. That's such an inane stick to have up one's ass over a appearances and what symbol sits next to the name and level of fictional creatures.

There is a lot you could do with this

Pretty much. It's kinda fun coming up with new motions for attacks.

I use the same amount of pokemon as the gym leader in a battle, it feels cheatsy for me to use 6 pokemon when the gym leader only uses 3.
