Am I the only one who ditches my starter after I catch another Pokemon?

you are in the minority
>>27532579
wow your so cool
i wish i was as epic as you my good man
>>27532579
yes
>>27532579
gen 5 is the only gen i boxed the starter
every other gen had at least one i wouldn't mind using
not using a starter on the first playthough doesn't feel right
I'd box the starter if the next few routes didn't have the same token rodent, bird, and bug.
>tfw lack of variety in the beginning
What would be a GOAT starter that I should trade for?

Yeah even if I don't like any of them, which has been the case for gens 4-7 I still use one for the first playthrough.

>who ditches my starter after I catch another Pokemon
This is only accepted in Gen 5 and 6. Starters in Gen 1, 2 and 3 were ok. Gen 4 you had to pick fire because there wasn't any other fire pokémon in the region.

Boxed my starter before the second gym in DP (Don't even remember which one i chose, they all looked like shit), BW2 (don't remember which one i chose. I didn't even finish the game from how repetitive it felt) and XY (lol, male Braixen). Only stayed with my starter until the end in RB (Blastoise), GS (female Meganium) and RS (female Blaziken). Kept my male Oshawott in BW until it turned into drops-on-all-fours-to-take-it-in-the-ass, which looked like shit.
But, yeah, I haven't particularly cared about the starter since gen 4.
Damn dude, you're such a special little snowflake
depends on who it is. Last gen I ditched greninja pretty quick.
believe i traded him to a jap. good riddance
>>27532579
People do that all the time.
I couldn't do it for my first play through.

No need to be upset.
>>27532579
No, there are other monsters out there, too

Go back to Gamefaqs.
Sometimes. Usually my first playthrough of a game I use a starter. After that I usually enjoy boxing and trying a full team of random mons.
