I just wish we could do the exact same but with our own Pokémon, not rental ones. GameFreak has gotten everything so right, but this is kind of a cocktease, if you can't ride your own.

We might not even have to use some of them, Defog and Flash usually aren't that important and we've seen with Stoutland sniffing that it isnt just HMs being covered.

Lapras = Surf+Waterfall
Sharpedo = Surf+Rock Smash

I think we might be done with Cut/Strenght. The game already seems full of "puzzles", no need for those annoyances.

Also, if they make this amazing comfy tropical region with amazing graphics and not include Dive, I'll be seriously disappointed.

I think Pokemon generally jave land/sea/sky traits, and specific Pokemon have special stuff for certain areas. For example, they can have an underwater cave that requires lanturn for flash and dive. Theu can go wild with this if they want to.
