That seems to be the case with lot of pokemon in this gen. Interesting abilities but their stats may or may not justfy them. I was thinking that Wimpod would probably be an incredibly set up/lead pokemon because he could put up hazards or something and you get a free swich in once it takes damage.

But if Wimpod's speed is shit then its not really suited for that role. And thats assuming it even gets access to entry hazards

Carbink was meant to literally not be fully evolved though. They fucked up and just decided to move Diancie in as an event Pokemon and probably barely adjusted Carbink from there.

IF you give it a sitris berry and spend your first turn using rock polish or some shit, when your stats change to be offensive you might be a threatening sweeper. Plus its pretty great that your oppenent cant burn or paralyze you to hinder your set up.

Okay literally the first thing I thought of about minior in competitive was that it would be a good stallmon, not a sweeper. I totally see it getting recover and if it can recreate it's shield when healing this thing is set. Esp since its core form apparently gives it speed so it can quick heal up back into its shield. I don't think minior will get acrobatics or any relevant flying coverage move for that matter. But it's IMMUNE to status with its shield which is amazing. It counters talonflame harder than blowjob fish if you think about it

This is one of my favorite mons revealed so far. Love its design, love that it doesn't just have a different color depending on what island it is. That would be lazy and boring.

Can't wait to see if it evolves and what sort of moveset it can get. If shell smash, or belly drum, or evolution, I think this could be good.

Wanna hear full details on what the ability does too, not just the first part.

I don't know it will work like zen mode where it will reverts back to its original form when it recovers HP. But if it does it won't be as good since you will make it defensive and when you change your form and you become frail even if you gain some speed you will still be slow and be taken down easy.
If it doesn't with this set >>27520383 it can still function pretty well but I'm afraid GF will not give it shell smash.
