How do you guys react when the rival character uses Pokemon you

I'm just glad I was able to run Gardevoir without copying his signature mon like in the original games.

Quite a few like using the Magnemite line as well, one of my favorites from Gen 1.

I stopped training my espurr when I saw that my rival had one. There's just something annoying about running into the same person over and over and seeing a reminder that your team isn't completely original even when it's a pokemon I really wanted to use. Maybe I'm just autistic.

I was moderately bothered raising my Flygon in BW2, but I too much fun using it to let Hugh having a Flygon stop me.

Depends on the rival. It would be smug satisfaction against Green, Silver or most of the 'conventional rivals', be okay if it were rivals like Wally who aren't especially antagonistic but aren't annoying, and if it were Shauna and her merry band of faggots I would probably steer away.

Depends. If its something reasonably common, like my Staraptor vs Barry's, that doesn't bother me too much. If its something more distinctive, like my Tyranitar vs Gary's, then yes it bothers me a little. I like imagining the games to be a little more like the anime in that respect.
