On the other hand, there hasn't been 100% clear indication that Alola-form 'mons are the only ones present. It could mean that they are only native to Alola, meaning we COULD see both types.

I mean, it would be a living hell trying to breed a fire type Ninetales and always end up with the Ice/Fairy type, even if the mother and father are the fire type.
