Also Oricorio is most definitely a references to Darwin's Finches, given the fact that they sip nectar from certain flowers to change forms. IIRC with Darwin's Finches the birds adapted to flowers that were native to a couple different islands by getting different beak shapes. This just takes this concept and makes it more pokemon.
