I respect you ability to dream OP but consider this. They're switching the perspective from the typically isometric top down view to a full 3d. The overworld needs to be fully rendered and modeled, they cant rely as much on tilesets/reused assets.

They're already making an entire region this way, you expect them to remake ALL of another region as well? To remake Kalos or Unova from the ground up?

We'll probably get a few more islands int he post game that contain pokemon from the national dex, possibly even more story content on those islands. But i highly doubt we're heading to a new region. We havent dont that since Johto for a reason, its alot of work.
