How would you feel about a Pokemon Go season of the Pokemon anime?
Either Ash or a new protagonist travel to an all new region where most of the pokemon trainers and even civilians belong to either of the 3 teams (Valor, Mystic, and Instinct). Ash also finds out that instead of 6 gyms with badges, there are instead hundreds of gyms owned by one of the different factions.
Maybe even have the professor give him a pokemon radar on his pokedex or something. Or if you really wanted to stretch it, have a subplot about how pokemon don't need to be weakened to be caught in this region.

Nah, make something like Pokemon Origins for all Gens, but don't fuck it up like Origins were 2/3 of the game was not covered. Make it One Season= One Gen.

A one-off special episode wouldn't be so bad, but I'd only be interested because I'd want to see the three team leaders appearing.
