Do you use your favorites to the best of their abilities, or make meta teams?
I just whatever in the story
Meta teams online

In single player. I'll use what I want, in multiplayer I'll be more cautious of the meta but try to take some liberties

I usually take one Pokemon I want to use just because I like it, then build the rest of my team around supporting it properly.
I have two Greninjas, one with protean and one that's shiny. I always use the shiny online despite it performing worse. It has costs me a few games but I don't really mind.

Combination of both. I do use meta teams, but I'll almost always try to make my favorite Pokemon fit into them. My Pokemon tend to become favorites based on how well they've served me in battle anyway.

i dont play online desu i just pick whatever i feel like in story mode

truly strong trainers sometimes must be prepared to choose Pokémon that can win rather than their Favorite Pokémon.
>>27445370
I only use my favorites. The games aren't hard enough to where you'd have to use only the best pokemon.
Well when mantine, luminion and the like can't do shit against a mega salamance it really makes you think
since breeding and training are so fast now I just train everything and try to find at least niche sets for the crappy ones
If I want to win I have actual serious business teams and if I want to mess around I have hp ice maractus and tail wind lumineon

Ive made a team of my favorites. They dont do that well.

a combination of both usually have 3-4 mons that I like and 2-3 that can put up a fight if those I like can't
>catch favorite pokemon for story
>hack their IVs, natures, etc and make them perfect
>Volcarona
>Scolipede
>Scizor
>Garchomp
>Alakazam
>Slowbro
But my favorites are all competitively viable, granted having them all on one team gives me a huge Fire/Dark weakness

Both.
