We all keep saying that pokemon that we don't like look digimon, but what are some digimon that look like pokemon?
At this point it's such an empty unsupported blanket statement that its not exactly an insult or criticism anymore
>>27444795
Is Digimon even a thing, anymore? Is it ongoing? I never hear about it.
>>27444795
Most Electric and Steel-types could pass for digimon
the new meme is that they look like yokai watch monsters

What a rock have you been living under?
It got a well-received game this year, and there's a trio of movies coming out that appear to nostalgiafags in the digimon franchise.
That orange bat thing.
Never really did understand the fanbase wars but I've never personally tried anything Digimon related myself. Is Cyber Sleuth decent?
If you draw the eyes different and change the proportions any Pokemon or Digimon (well the more natural looking ones) could look like they belong in the opposite series.
Rapidmon could pass for a steel type.
Many Rookie level digimon can pass for actual Pokémon, anything above that is a no-no.

Very.
The story suffers the usual Japanese stereotype issues here and there, but is overall enjoyable.
>>27444968
Well, I usually go into a JRPG expecting that, butthose Yasuda designs are nice.
>>27444909
>>27444868
Actually there are 6 movies, 2 are already out.

CS is alright and not as grindy as the other digimon games but it's still grundy because you have to digivolve and de digivolve to increase the ability of your digimon which some need about 80 to digivolve down a certain route.
Also no scene skips.

It's not ongoing. It usually (I SAID USUALLY) treats each installment as a separate continuity with an ending, which tends to alienate genwunners. The fact that Digimon Adventure Tri and Digimon World Next 0rder were direct sequels to established continuity was a big deal and not common.
There's a new Digimon TV series coming soon which will continue the "multiple digimon per human with fusion" gimmick of Xros Wars but is otherwise unrelated.

That's why I rarely play em.
Heck, I meet more strange irl stereotypes at work already, I don't need them Wapaneses silly fake cheery friendlyness ontop of that.
>>27444795
This one I guess, and a lot of cute plant others.
>>27444795
I guess? Most Digimon have weirdly proportioned bodies and are extremely overdesigned.
>>27447794
>overdesigned
This is only slightly less annoying than "edgy"
Terriermon would fit right perfectly
>>27447794
You wish.
>>27451453
Gynomon when?
Betamon, seadramon and megaseadramon could acually be possible in a pomemon game metal and gigaseadramon are not
Still love the line though
>>27451453
I'll take Guarddromon as stage 1 and Andromon as stage2, and Hi-Andromon as Mega evolution anyday over Klinklang.
>>27452682
Nah, a Pokémon version of Betamon would turn into a less edgy version of Spinomon
I liked the first 2 seasons but when they were humans turning into digimon I didn't like it at all.
I could see Keramon being a pokemon.
>>27449382
Make the eyes a bit cartoonier and it's a perfect fit
>>27444868
I like digimon too, but it is still kinda niche compared to pogermans, anon. Almost never see physical merch on sale in my state for example.
