Gen 3 has one of the best sets of Pokémon designs, and while the postgame isn't nearly on par with HGSS/B2W2, it's still above average. Possibly the best variety of obtainable Pokémon in the series. Characters are way more fleshed out and compelling than in RSE. Music is fantastic. I can list a million more reasons why I personally like the games.

Oras isn't that bad so far,
I didn't pick it up when it was announced because I wasn't super happy with x or y
But just picked it up and I'm having a good time new abilities were made available
But I don't like the Maulville redesign wasn't expecting an actual mall
