The animated pixel art was really damn cool. The models look really stiff with very muted colors.

Don't know why people prefer mediocre models to good pixel art so much of the time.

I preferred the visual style and warping sprites over anything in the series, but I'm probably one of very few.
The UI is also my favourite.

3D models are way easier to recycle for other purposes, like amie or overworlds and look way better than the lazy tweening-pixels that they did in gen 5.

But I digress, pixel arts is a precious style that has been diminishing in recent years. Only indies deliberately use small resolution sprites. We might not see it anymore ten years from now.

No, you aren't, but I felt they were shit. Actually detailed backgrounds are far better than that blurry shit and super low-poly circles, and the battle models are 10/10 while Gen 5 had weak sprites that relied on disgusting tweening and warping on a microscopic screen resolution. And while 60fps is great, transitioning into it just for battles with the overworld being 30fps where it would actually matter feels off.
