Yeah it sucks. In Heartgold I cheated and gave Typhlosion Earth power and Aura sphere.

Probalem is it's a Special Attacker with a physical movepool.

A bulky Fire/Electric mega would be cool, since the pokedex talks about it rubbing it's fur together to make fire you could claim that it makes static electricity also. Give it Earth Power and Discharge as egg moves, and let it learn Volt Turn via TM.

I would replace Will-o-Wisp with Solar Beam and make it to hold Power Herb because Solar Beam hits Super Effective on all Typhlosion weaknesses, but it only works once
