Change its type to Fire/Steel and give it +40 def/+30 spatk/+30 spdef and a useful ability of some sort. It won't replace Heatran but it would probably be good in UU and might have a niche in OU depending on its ability.

They literally just put it on anything.

Please no. Not everything needs to have Fairy slapped on.

The real question here is why Cresselia isn't a fairy type. Darkria shouldn't have the type advantage since Cresselia is the one who cures people/pokemon from Darkrai's nightmares.
