Currently on a standard Platinum run, going to take on Volkner. The time spent adding +4 levels to everyone during the Riley subquest really paid off, and it didn't even take that much time.

This'll eventually be played for full 'dex completion so I'm just trawling the entire region right now catching anything and everything to see who's going to hit the right spot in my heart to replace Bibarel for the E4 fight.

You could have taken Vileplume for Hitmonchan, Petal Dance is the next best thing you're going to have to a reliable Grass attack with decent strength. Just remember to count the number of turns in battle.

I'm going through the game with a few Pokemon traded over as eggs to OR from my XY run. They were given beneficial natures, no egg moves, 31s in 5/6 stats.

My original goal was to remove Electrode and Heliolisk and throw in Mantyke and Surskit but I figured I would need AT LEAST something competent once the game opened up a bit more.


Ducklett should not be evolving at Level 35, it's far too late and it's stats fucking blow donkey dick. Everyone is sitting at 30 and yet the only two Pokemon sandbagging my team in terms of stats are Ledian and Ducklett. I know once it evolves, it'll be better stat wise and Ledian is just sandbagging, but, eh.

I'm also restricting myself to limited PokeCenter trips. I've been buying revives, potions, and all of that in order to keep my Pokemon healthy. I use centers only when I pretty much have to when PP is too low to do anything.

No EXP share, I have a 7th unpictures Pokemon. A Furret Lvl30 (M) named T-Bone. He's my HM slave that I also bred as a 7th mon who keeps up with my main team but is in all intents and purposes, an HM slave. But stab strength on an adament Furret isn't THAT bad and it helped me against Norman with rock smash.

I'm buying Alpha Sapphire today and doing a Nuzlocke run. Should be fun

Box your starter the second you catch a Sewaddle (f). Also, make sure you catch a Sandile and Darumaka.

You can try Deerling, Ducklett, and Maractus, theyre all cool Pokemon but nothing extremely good stat wise, they just look cool. Tynamo and Joltic are also pretty cool.

Playing Pokemon Red DX ++

Love it, I get everything I want out of red with most all the new features of the newer games (I think beside the special split). Caught a Joltik in Viridian Forest, currently thinking about replacing Pika with it.

Brock raped me with a level 16 Geodude and Rock Throw my first go round though, the game is certainly harder and I underestimated it. I was able to go to Mt. Moon without the badge tho which was neat, I like how this game doesnt roadblock you.

Havent even seen his other two Mons but I know one of them is Onix. Time to git gud

Working on a Dark Monotype run of Black 2. First few hours were hell using five Purrloin (four backup/debuff and one main.) Already used Drapion in my White 2 game and I'm planning to use Bisharp in my current White playthrough so I'm not sure who else to get. Thought about Mandibuzz since apparently there's an interactable one in the desert on Thursdays.

Haven't played through a Pokemon game since Omega Ruby first came out, should I play through Red on 3DS or do a play through of Platinum?
(Been playing a ton of Overwatch and would like a palate cleanse game)

Just a fun run of Platinum, going out of my way to use Pokemon I've never used before. And Gastrodon, because why would you ever use any other Water type?

Lickilicky and Bastiodon are tons of fun. I tried sticking with Kricketune for the long haul but he just kept coming up short. Pachirisu was irredemmably bad.

OR. Restarted the game for fun. Before restarting I traded 6 eggs over to a friend and then got them back when I got to Oldale Town and caught 6 extra Pokémon. Traded the startery and five of the extra pokémon for the eggs, and then hatched them in Oldale Town. Grinder on Route 101 to get them to a workable level and went from there.

Cerberus got me through most of the early gyms, and Tutankhamun got me through Norman singlehandedly. Lapis proved to be hardy when we went through the Elite Four the first time, and Hemlock found itself wrecking Glacia.

Having a hard time deciding on final party members. Grumpig has been really useful, surprisingly, but I'm not that fond of it... Not sure if I'll keep Aggron if it doesn't get some sweet moves soon. Been running Metal Claw, Iron Defense, Headbutt, and fucking MUD SLAP since the 90s.

personally i don't think it's worth the download. everything's trivial but the gyms, which are retarded in comparison to the rest of the hack and necessitate a fuck ton of grinding on wildly under-leveled pokemon. i didn't find it enjoyable but that's just me.

Doing XY Nuzlocke. My top team members were Gukgut the Pansage (died to crit from Amaura, RIP sweet prince), and Hannibal the Hippopotas who avenged Gukgut by becoming my ace for a short while before Wobbufet bullshit killed him a few levels before he would have evolved. Glazed the Whirlipede avenged him and evolved after the trainer battle directly after the Wobbufet encounter.
Pob is a planned Surf Slave and Kojak is a temporary Strength user and I'm evolving Schlomo in the Power Plant.
