Why was Gen 5 so bloated? It clearly suffered from major feature creep because it had so many different random things forced upon you that no one asked for. That whole dream world thing, the pokewood studios, the hyperlink or whatever, that thing that made you ask whether or not you want to use it before you turned the game on (forgot what it was called and never understood what it even was.) Bunch of other random fluff I'm forgetting. What's the purpose of all that junk? I just want to catch them all man.

Yeah I know it's just like, why is it all there? What's the point. It seems like pointless fluff and detracts from the "less is more" approach that made pokemon great.
