Does seeing Pokemon Season one related stuff make anyone else depressed?
I seriously feel an awful burn inside when I hear or see season one stuff.
The anime had so much soul, the music was fantastic, and the art was amazing.
I remember when Ash, Brock, and Misty were supposed to be "together forever" and yet it ended so heartbreakingly.
Remember all the friends Ash made and promised to see them again? Yet instead he leaves to never visit again.
I'm 24 I'm actually not the biggest Pokemon fan but Pokemon GO made me a bit nostalgic and rewatching S1 and listening to the soundtrack has put me in a melancholic mood.
Am I the only scarred by this? I don't know what it is about the original Pokemon but it holds some kind of magic to this day and still holds up. The new stuff just feels wrong.

Yes, it made me sad to realise that the anime was just one big cashgrab.
I'll always remember, though. Those soft colors, the friendship between the three and their Pokémon, lovable Team Rocket, and the sunsets at the end of the episodes.
But you just have to let go at some point.

Nope im exactly the same
was bullied during those poke years so latched onto the escapism of that world hard
Rewatching all those episodes after go came out was pretty fantastic
they are all so iconic it was like barely a day had passed from when i watched them as a child
