I never stopped on X and Y, even after 4 playthroughs. I still consider it the weakest entry in the series, but at least it retained my interest several times all throughout the game

This is pretty much true. Although the most tedious part of BW for me was Accumula to Nacrene.

And the most tedious part of Sinnoh that makes you wanna stop is definitely Mount Coronet to Snowpoint.

I liked Platinum's Victory Road.
The ace trainers there had good pokemon.

I've never felt that way about any game.
The only kind of boring part are like long-ish caves and stuff (looking at you, Victory Road) or long grinding sessions.

The only regions that really kept the interest going continuously were Unova and Kalos. Sinnoh would be perfect, if not for the Distorshit World, which is the most obnoxious, barren part of any game yet.
