Final stages have never been good to begin with.
Gen 1 were just ok
Gen 2 were pretty bad and people like them only because of muh nostalgia, same goes with Gen 3
Gen 4 was the first time were all the 3 of them were actually good
Gen 5 and 6 were utter shit even though I like Samurott and Greninja's design
and if that leak about gen 7 is real we have the worst starters so far

But gen 4/5 starters were absolutely trash tier.
