Playing the games is the best suggestion I can think of. Also checking out sites like Serebii helps or maybe following Pokemon tubers like Jwitts

Playin remakes is a pretty solid start. After FR, try playing HG or SS to get used to some of the later gen Pokemon. If you want to try to hit one game/gen, try BW2 then XY. Though really any of the games are easy enough to get into. Which games did you start with OP?

My first game is red and now fire red which I'm playing right now. I remember watching a few episodes of the TV series when I was younger. I started this thread because I enjoy Fire Red so much, I wanna know more. And to prevent future pokemon go possible DLC from throwing me off

Play Emerald next, then move to DS for HGSS, Platinum, BW, and BW2. XY and ORAS are optional, I'd get at least one of them though.
