Dunno, sometimes the check in PKHeX is says it's illegal but it still works for online stuff. If that's not the case I'm pretty sure you can find info about legal encounters if you google "PKHeX [pokemon] encounter".

I'll list them in steps and give a brief explanation of how injections work.

Step 1. You need to make a request here and as if an injector will kindly take a pokemon from you to analyze on pkhex.

Step 2. Once they agree you deposit something simpl like in the OP's instructions (Zigzagoon, Pidgey, Fletchling etc) into the GTS and ask for something they have on hand at the time.

Step 3: They will take your pokemon and respond here with your SID. If they have issues finding that pokemon on the GTS they will ask to directly trade for it.

The reason why SID is important to know is because it's directly involved in the process of determining whether or not the pokemon is shiny. Regardless of the shiny status it also is needed to claim full ownership of the said pokemon, I assume you know that though.

pkhex is just an editing tool that allows people to view and edit savedata and thus have access to full simplified customization of individual pokemon within the said save file. They can create them from scratch or edit old ones, place them in boxes or in their party and then trade them over to you. They essentially have the tools to edit every single piece of data that a pokemon is comprised of, and can make it indistinguishable from a "real" or "legit" non-hacked pokemon.

It's a lot safer for you to know how it works than to just request an injector to fill in the gaps. This way you can make a request like mine >>27381841 and have little to no fuck ups on any data in your request.

However all of this is subjective and even some of the most illegitimate things end up being legal due to passing the most crucial flags. It's really odd explaining this to someone who has already made a request in here.

it's only the same on your individual save file, if you start a new game it changes like your trainer ID (TID). SID (Secret ID) was meant to be there to complicate things for people, but that didn't work out so well in the end. It's really so you have an almost guaranteed 100% unique code to assume ownership of your pokemon. There are 4,294,967,296 combinations of TID and SID and on top of that you also have to match the name.

What do traded eggs that you hatch say usually anyway? I can see how it comes up as a link trade for you since my data is already shoved into it. For the one you hatched does it have your OT etc registered on it or did it hatch like it belonged to me? By default the OT is left as 00000 and no name which is still legal for trade apparently.

Gonna go to bed before hatching this, but before I do I wanted to clarify.

If someone trades you an egg (unhatched) it says it was received by link trade. When you injected the phantump egg, it is actually appropriate that it did say link trade if you were simulating that you received it that way. When you traded it back to me, it reset that part because it was coming back over to the OT on the egg. So I believe that when you do pick up an egg, your OT does go on to the egg. Then when it is traded over, it retains that information but the met location changes from a daycare couple to a link trade. I assume that after hatching it should say that either the egg was received from the daycare or that the egg was received from link trade still. However if you were to trade it back to the original game it came from, it would still say link trade due to the ownership being overwritten and thus having no link to the game the egg was actually bred and received in.

totally useless information really, but it helps me understand pkhex more at least.
