Does this happen to anyone else? At first I thought it might have been related to me hating how easy gen 6 is but now I realize I don't really ever like my team and I'm really not a huge fan of hoenn or its pokemon distributionexcept for the grass types
Has anyone done a monotype and had more fun? I'm thinking of doing one since I think it would make things a little less bland

The only reason I managed to finish it was because I swapped out my team at the last second, and wound up soloing the E4 with an underlevelled Hitmonchan.

This is just Hoenn for me. I have fun but lose interest at Lilycove, and then it tanks completely after finishing up at Mossdeep. In both Emerald and OR I pretty much finished the game to say I did.

Same happened to me in Emerald. I never finished a Hoenn run until AS.

I think the Water Routes affect me way more than I realize, because the surfing section is actually something I just don't want to play
Or maybe Hoenn just peters out for me. Its probably the only region where that happens for me.

the water routes don't help but there's definitely a lot of points in Hoenn where I just feel everything drags
