The same way that the dawn stone kills a snorunt to turn it into a new pokemon, maybe the dawn stone would kill drampa and turn him into a ghost. Why not?

We physically see Froslass evolve from Snorunt. Who isn't a ghost type, meaning it also wouldn't mean they first became a Snorunt. We know for a fact they aren't (all) dead humans.
