You! You, who haven't touched pokemon since elementary and decided to check in in favour of GO! also you there, who never was a fan of cartoons but came here because GO is kinda cool! You there, who came from the hype!
All of you, who now starting to realize the joy of collecting and battling, and wandering about weather you should give the core games a chance, DON'T START WITH GEN III HOENN
DON'T listen to people telling you how cool secret bases are, or how fun the battle frontier is! Don't listen to people telling you how fun it is to cruise pokemon at 200+%, or tell you about fanmade hacks that enhance the experiance, DON'T listen to talk about superior designs, how gardevoir is the only nonfurry pokewaifu or how blazekin was so cool GF was stuck on fire/fighting for 2 more generations! DON'T mind talks about great music, about wingull>zubat, aragon>rhydon, the joy of manhandling 2 teams at once and still coming on top or any of the other SHIT people tell you to get you play hoenn III before any other game. You will just ruin your pokemon experiance because after playing emerald your expactations would be too high for any of the other games to not dissapoint you. Start with b/w for the DS, from there everything will look great; THATS a good entry to pokemon.
