If they do that, they should allow team changing. It's a bit stupid to add perks to a permanent team later in the game. But I guess the perks have something to do with the team's "skill", such as Mystic will have faster evolving, Instinct will breed eggs faster and Valor might get cheaper power ups.

One has lower CP but has more of it's CP bar filled than the higher CP pidgey.

Also, the lower CP Pidgey has nearly the same HP as the higher one.

The lower CP Pidgey is also an "XL".

Absolutely not, it's accurate in many ways but inaccurate in others. There's a part of my town that's crawling with rare pokemon: Voltorb, Magnemite, Meowth, Pikachu, Vulpix, etc. I'm consistently scanning that area. Majority of the time NOTHING appears in that area, at best I'll get one semi accurate image of a Cubone/Magnemite spawn.

Because pokemon don't spawn around you unless you have the app open. I think after you open it, it spawns a few around you, then kinda tries to predict your movements and spawn them in front of you at various distances.
Also, the more people playing around you, the more pokemon will spawn.

I was glad as fuck and was thingking about using my all stardust(9000) to level him up.

He started off at 199cp and 32 candies and im wondering if its a good idead.
Is it possible to catch a hitmonchan or do i need to rely on luck and hatch another egg?

Yeah, but they have also dropped features, like the distance shit, and it could delay the implementation of newer features as they either compensate for the load or rewrite the API/communications.

After visiting a park the National Park service has in town, I found 30 new species and a single parking lot that is a haven to Voltorbs and Magnemite. Finally off the coast of our town's riverside Parkway, I've found numerous rare species I didn't even know our town had. Goes to show you you have to look everywhere in your own backyard.

The math required to do the calculations of distance for a handful of locations, from your present location, isn't that intensive.

Doing tens of thousands of them is intensive.

Remember, this is just talking about YOUR distance from the monsters in YOUR nearby list. Your client knows the exact locations of the monsters in that list, calculating the distance is simple and shouldn't be something that the server needs to handle for everyone, let alone transmit to everyone as well.
