It's horrible offensively. I think thanks to fairy it is now the worst in terms of SE hits to resisted hits. Just fix that and we'll be fine. Bug isn't great defensively but that kind of makes sense.

At the VERY LEAST I'd like to see bug hit ghost neutrally or even super effectively. Ghost is now only weak to dark and itself, and is only resisted by dark and normal

Well the whole theme of Bug is that they evolve really fast and at low level, but aren't that strong as a result, just like actual bugs. So it kinda makes sense from a thematic standpoint that they aren't very strong in meta. But that's also bullshit from a gameplay standpoint.

I'd really dig some contrived bug that is designed for the sole purpose of hard countering talonflame. Crustle is about the only one that can do it, but it needs so much defense investment it's dead weight otherwise.

And no, armaldo doesn't really do the trick that well. Even with max defense and HP investment, choice band talonflame can two shot armaldo, which means you can't switch armaldo in to save another bug, and at most armaldo can serve as a check. Then that means you have to sack a team mate every time talonflame comes out.
