Same. To be honest I enjoyed X and Y to some degree, so seeing this upgraded version makes me really excited.

I thought a couple designs were lacklustre and I don't want the rival to be another Serena. Other than that I think it's going to be great. Who knows, I had low expectations for generation 5 and it became my favourite after beating BW.

The region does it most for me
Tropical settings are always my favorite and Alola looks like it could be amazing to explore

But SM have drastically improved visuals I feel, it actually feels like a 3DS game now and not some PS1 game.

Good post game is all I want. As long as it's on par with B2W2 it'll automatically become the best game in the series to date.

Also, we better fucking get more than 72 new mons. I was so excited for gen 6 because of the simultaneous release, so for the first time since gen 2 I was able to play the game blind (with the exception of officially spoiled Pokemon) only to find out that Gamefreak had already shown off 49/72 of them.

Was pretty cool seeing Goomy and Carbink for the first time and trying to figure out what types they were. I thought Goomy was Poison/Water at first

I'm definitely feeling it. Odd numbered gens always get me really hyped.

I feel like they always knew Gen 6 was going to be a bit awkward and transitional, so they used it as a mini-Gen for experimental purposes to make Gen 7 better. That is a large part of why I have high hopes for Gen 7, because it had an entire generation before it dedicated to just making sure they did it right.

For what Gen 6 was, I enjoyed it enough.

I feel like Gen 4 was this for Gen 5.
Gen 2 was the opposite, it felt like an add on to Gen 1 with colors.
Gen 3 is the only gen I think is truly stand alone

It seems fine but I'm not hyped or anything.

The new pokemon make me feel very mixed and I have never liked Hawaii themed stuff. I don't like the character designs and I don't have faith that the story is going to be anything but "meh"

The hype for BW for me was unreal
and I ended up not playing the games until gen 6 was upon us.

Even if they made the story even a little surprising, I just know the characters are all going to be boring and cookie cutter with by the numbers jrpg dialogue.

It's the comfiest setting anon, mainly because tropical can have everything with something that the games are always lacking, which is tropical areas.
