Anything is better than the repetitive garbage known as X/Y's battle theme, that was and always will be the worst theme in the series, with it's 45 second guitar riff.

Does anybody have a link to the scrapped theme they played at some event? It was like a boss battle or something.

The themes are missing a certain OOMPH effect, there's small bits but that's about it.
Even the "rival" one feels a bit too easy going

I'm loving everything about the game so far so here's hoping.
